1. How to delete your account
In the Trove app, go to Profile, scroll to the account section near the bottom, and tap "Delete Account." Confirm on the dialog that follows. Deletion starts immediately and cannot be undone or reversed once confirmed.

How to delete your Trove account.
You can permanently delete your Trove account and its data at any time, from inside the app. This page explains how, and exactly what is and isn't removed.

2. What is deleted
Your account is permanently removed, including: • Your Firebase sign-in credentials • Your saved items and collections • Any applets, trips, habits, or workout data you own • Files you uploaded (photos, imports) • Comments and pseudonymized identifiers you authored on shared AI Stacks entries • Your subscription/billing linkage records
3. What is retained, and why
Shared document records and source URLs already extracted by Trove are not removed from the backend — this is the deduplicated content record other users' saves may point to, not data unique to your account. If you referred someone else to Trove, that referral entry belongs to the person who was referred and is kept for them; your personal information on it is scrubbed. If someone else referred YOU, their referral credit is preserved (only your own account data is deleted) — Trove never destroys a third party's competition entry as a side effect of your deletion. We may also retain limited records where required by law (for example, financial/payment records via Apple, Google, or Stripe, which Trove does not control).
4. Timing
Deletion runs as soon as you confirm it in the app. Some backend cleanup steps (removing uploaded files, detaching queued background jobs) complete shortly after as part of the same deletion process, without further action from you.
